With Orlando right around the corner, Longwood offers many secondary education opportunities for students seeking non-degree courses to those pursuing professional level degrees and everything in between.  The University of Central Florida (UCF) is one of the largest universities in the nation providing undergraduate, graduate and medical school programs to over 50,000 students.  The school offers over 200 bachelor and master’s degree programs while the new medical school and research facilities are preparing UCF for continued growth.

Central Florida is also home to many private universities and technical schools including Barry University Law School.  Additionally, the historic Stetson University main campus is located 40 minutes north of Longwood in DeLand. This private university offers 60 undergraduate majors and minors as well as a college of law located in the Tampa area.  The local two-year college, Seminole Community College, offers more than 130 certificate and associate degree programs.
